Ten percent of the U.S. corn crop was harvested and 6% of soybeans were harvested as of Sunday, Sept. 19. U.S. corn condition was rated 59% good to excellent and soybeans were rated 58% good to excellent, USDA NASS reported on Monday.

As the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service tries to stop the spread of African swine fever from the Dominican Republic, the agency has temporarily suspended the movement of pork products from Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands to the mainland U.S.
December corn is down 8 1/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 13 3/4 cents, and December KC wheat is down 7 1/4 cents.
Live cattle lost most of what was gained last week as cash trade was disappointing. Feedlots holding out through Friday did not push packers into a corner wherein they needed to pay higher to obtain supply. Hogs fared well despite lower cash with the market adjusting after the free fall.
