DTN COMMENTS:  A few bids are now on the table in Kansas and Texas at 
midday. Asking prices around $186-plus in the South, but they are still 
not fully established in the North. Significant trade volume will likely 
be delayed for another day or two. 

Beef cutouts are lower at midday (choice 295.78 -1.62, select 290.77 -
1.99) with moderate box movement (69.66 lds of choice cuts, 21.71 lds of 
select cuts, 2.73 lds of trim, and 13.07 lds of ground). Cattle futures 
at midday are mostly sharply lower on both live and feeder issues.
